Weibo video downloader
Weibo is one of China's largest social networks, mixing short posts, videos and photo sets. SocialDownload saves the video of a public post as an MP4 file, or each of its images.
Weibo regularly asks visitors to sign in or to pass a check before showing a post. When that happens, the website may not reach the post; trying again later or using the desktop app may help.
What you can download
- Videos in public posts
- Weibo video pages (weibo.com/tv)
- Image posts and photo sets, image by image
- Mobile links from m.weibo.cn
- The cover image of a video
Formats and quality
- Video: MP4, in the qualities Weibo offers for that video.
- Images: every picture of a post, in the largest size exposed.
- Cover: JPG, PNG or WEBP.
How to download in three steps
- 01
Copy the post link
In the Weibo app, tap the share arrow on the post and choose the option to copy the link. On a computer, open the post and copy its address.
- 02
Paste it on SocialDownload
Paste the link here. weibo.com, weibo.cn and m.weibo.cn addresses are recognized.
- 03
Choose and download
Tick Video for a video post, and Cover if needed, then download. For a photo set, the pictures are offered as images when Weibo exposes them.
Good to know
- Some posts are only visible to signed in users or to the author's followers; those cannot be reached from the website.
- Copy the link of the post itself rather than the author's profile page.
- A repost points to an original post. If a repost fails, open the original and copy its link.
