Pinterest video and image downloader
Saving a Pin on Pinterest keeps it inside Pinterest. SocialDownload downloads the video of a video Pin, or the largest available version of an image Pin, so you have a copy on your own device.
What you can download
- Video Pins
- Image Pins, in the largest size available
- Pins with several pages, when Pinterest exposes each media
- The cover image of a video Pin
- pin.it short links from the app
Formats and quality
- Video: MP4 in the resolutions Pinterest provides.
- Images: the largest version of the picture that Pinterest exposes, in its original format.
- Cover: the preview image of a video Pin in JPG, PNG or WEBP.
How to download in three steps
- 01
Copy the Pin link
Open the Pin, tap the Share icon, then Copy link. The app gives a pin.it short link, which works as it is.
- 02
Paste it on SocialDownload
Paste the link here. SocialDownload follows the short link and finds the video or the image.
- 03
Choose and download
For a video Pin, tick Video, and Cover if needed. For an image Pin, the picture is offered as an image to save. Then download.
Good to know
- Many Pins are saved from another website. The original page, linked on the Pin, often tells you who made the image and may offer a better version.
- Image Pins are frequently someone else's photo or illustration: credit the creator and ask before reusing it.
- Boards are collections of Pins. The website handles one Pin per link; the desktop app can go through a whole board.
